The Qunqana washing station in located in the Bensa region of Sidama in Ethiopia. It’s founders Asefa Dukamo and MuluGeta Dukamo opened the station out of a passion for producing specialty coffee, but lacked access to any washing stations in the surrounding area.
The result is that they started their own, which now collect cherries from other local small farmers in the area with a strong emphasis on quality.
The resulting cup is clean and shimmery, with graceful florals, juicy citrus notes, and black tea.
