Our Volume series is an idea we conceptualized from the beginning of Twelve Gate. We wanted a flagship drip coffee offering that was elegant enough to excite coffee enthusiasts, but approachable enough for every coffee drinker to enjoy.  What emerged is a cup full of smooth chocolates, subtle fruit, and a balanced sweetness.

It's meant to showcase the side of specialty coffee we love, which is clarity and sweetness with undertones of fruit. 

You'll notice Volume always has a number attached to it that updates consistently throughout the year... Here's whats going on there:

The best cups of coffee come from the freshest green coffees.  Unfortunately, this window of peak freshness is much shorter than most roasters care to acknowledge or deal with, and the majority coffees at large are served far past their peak. 

Coffee growing regions throughout the world harvest their coffees at differing times throughout the year, meaning the “freshest possible” coffee will always be a moving target and come from a new location from the last one. So, once new regions become available with their freshest harvests, those are the coffees we're sourcing into Volume. Every time the number of Volume updates, it's a representation of that; the freshest green coffees we could get our hands on have arrived and have updated Volume to it's latest iteration.

It's our commitment to only sourcing and serving remarkably fresh green coffees, and an window for our customers to see that happen.
